Golf Club of West Virginia

The 18-hole Golf Club of West Virginia facility in Waverly, West Virginia features 6,048 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 70. The course rating is 68.9 and it has a slope rating of 116. The golf course opened in 1959. The course offers three sets of tee boxes for a fun but challenging golf experience.

Greenhills Golf Club

Greenhills Country Club, built in 1959, offers one of the areas more challenging layouts. Greenhills has the best greens in the area and the course is always in fine condition.

Greenhills is a full service golf club with the abilities to properly handle all of your golf desires. Our 18-hole golf course (fast green) has a lengthy front nine and a hilly, shorter back nine. Greenhills Country Club is located in Ravenswood, West Virginia.

Mingo Bottom Golf Club

Mingo Bottom Golf Club is a beautiful 18 hole Golf Club located only 1 mile from Elizabeth on the Little Kanawha River. Our golf course features 180 acres of rolling greens, ponds, and breathtaking views.

The Club includes a complete practice facility with driving range, practice green, Club Car gas carts, available golf lessons, pro shop, and an expanded Club House menu. Our outdoor shelter gives you a beautiful view of the course and seats 120.

Oxbow Golf Course

For nearly 40 years Oxbow has been a favorite of golfers in southeastern Ohio and northern West Virginia. Opened in 1973 by Ned H. Tanner, George Cowell, and Lloyd Cowell, this partnership operated the course until 2011 when the Tanner Family assumed ownership in order to continue offering wonderful golf in the Mid-Ohio Valley.

This 6,558-yard par-71 golf course was sculpted across rolling hills by architect Jack Kidwell, and presents a challenging golfing experience for players at all skill levels. In its uniquely beautiful natural setting, golfers encounter water hazards on nine holes that include four lakes and a tributary of the Little Hocking River.

Large undulating Bent grass greens, lush, well-conditioned fairways and multi-level tees are hallmarks of Kidwell’s creative design. Jack Kidwell’s professional skills, personal philosophy, playing ability, and numerous achievements spanned 60 years and quietly touched countless lives in and around golf. He designed and renovated over 100 golf courses in the state of Ohio during a prolific 40-year architectural career. Oxbow, named for the U-shaped curve in the Little Hocking River, and its incorporation into the course layout is a great example of his genius.

South Hills Golf Club 

Now under new management, with a renewed commitment to a better golfing experience, South HIlls Golf Club is a beautiful 18-hole golf course located on Gihon Road in South Parkersburg. South Hills Golf Club offers terrific views and challenging play for golfers at every skill level. Well-groomed fairways and greens keep South Hills Golf Club difficult yet friendly. 

South HIlls is a is a par 71 with 6,397 yards from the championship tees. Frequently used for outings, South Hills offers a lit driving range for practice after the sun goes down.

Worthington Golf Club

Worthington Golf Club was designed by A. P. “Phil” Taylor and opened in 1941. Over seven decades later, it is still operated by the Taylor family (3rd & 4th generations).

Worthington is an 18-hole Public course located less than 2 miles from the intersection of Interstate 77 (Exit 176) and US Route 50 in the north end of Parkersburg.

The course offers a variety of wide, flat fairways for the walker. If you prefer, ride from a fleet of 75+ Yamaha golf carts (with sun visors and windshields). The entire course has nearly 4 miles of new concrete cart paths.

After a round of golf or anytime, visit Wedgy’s Grill & Pub, for a quick bite; carry out is also available. If you’re planning a golf tournament, catering and banquet facilities are available for 150 people. The outdoor patio and sun deck seats 60 and offers a wonderful, panoramic view of the course. During the Summer months, music and live entertainment is frequent on the patio.
